MEMBERSHIP OF SKOANZ

There are three categories of membership for SKOANZ as follows:

Full Member - 'Approved Operator' - Fees $200 / annum

Criteria: Commercial Operators that meet all Code of Practice requirements or who have granted exemptions from specific clauses in the Code of Practice. Operators in this category will:

Be able to advertise SKOANZ membership and use SKOANZ logos and stickers. SKOANZ requests that all full members place the SKOANZ logo in a prominent position on their brochures and web-sites.
Will be included in any advertising that SKOANZ may from time to time carry out.
Will receive a SKOANZ newsletters and information updates.
Will be able to vote at the AGM.

Associate Member - Fees $100 / annum

Criteria: Commercial Operators who do not currently meet all Code of Practice requirements and have not been granted exemptions. Retail and manufacturing outlets, education agencies, other organisation and private individuals.

Will receive a SKOANZ reference folder, newsletters and information updates.
Will be able to attend AGM but not vote.
Will receive advice and guidance when requested on how to meet full membership requirements.

Guide Member - Fees $50 / annum

Criteria: Level One Qualified Guides. Note Level One Qualified Guides currently gain free membership of SKOANZ for the year following their assessment.

Will receive a SKOANZ reference folder, newsletters and information updates.
Will be able to attend the AGM but not vote.

To enable SKOANZ to better serve the needs of it's membership, please provide the following information:

Number of employees excluding guides

Services offered (e.g. guided tours, kayak rentals) or your interest in sea kayaking (e.g. guide, school, shop etc):

Membership Category: (Refer to the membership categories sheet to decide your category and terms and conditions. Membership is valid until 30 June following payment of membership subscription)

Full member – Fees $200 pa
Associate member – Fees $100 pa
Guide member – Fees $50 pa

New members – after receipt of your completed application form and fees payment you will be sent a SKOANZ reference folder that contains all relevant SKOANZ documents.

Full membership of SKOANZ demands adherence to the Association’s Code of Practice (or the holding of exemptions from specific clauses in the Code of Practice). Non adherence by members in this category can result in membership being terminated and SKOANZ taking other actions as necessary to reduce any impact of complaints or incidents involving members not adhering to the Code of Practice.
